Okay, you guys. I decided to updatums! Ayup! Since I last talked to y'all i've added to my collection of "that stuff that piles up but isn't entirely useless" a camera lense.
Storytime!:
Once upon a time, there was a child who wasn't really a child on account of his being around 17-18 years old, yet he was at the stage in life where what he wanted to do was quite clear, but the hows and wherefores were not. He would often be driving through his neighborhood with his mother for various errands. On one such occasion, his mother spied a "yard sale" which here means a place to sell your junk. At this particular "yard sale", there was more than just your average trash.
Yes, there it was in all of it's EOS glory. A lense. An image stabilizer lense. Except, this was the type with liquid for stability, and not the electronic stabilizers, pretty high-tech, none-the-less. As the sun shone on the piece of equipment, he turned it in his hands wonderingly. Meaningless numbers scrolled by on the cylinder; numbers such as 70-300 and f-2.3-5.6 (or something like that). What did they mean? It looked expensive, and the price tag volunteered the possession of the item for a mere $35.
He set the item down, not knowing how badly he would kick himself for it in a few years.
But okay, yeah, I bought a new lense. Not a big one, mind you, a good walk-around lense. 28-105mm with a UV filter. Purdy good for a mere $175, actually. the lense normally sells for around $230.00. So, I'm thinking I got a good deal. I would love a lense shade, though. I forget what they're called offhand.

Okay, and my legs are in so much pain from walking around for 4-hours at the Avon High School. :/ bye.
